Important ticket information:

General Admission tickets are $20 per person for this event. You can click here to purchase tickets. Tickets will also be sold at the gate. All guests entering The Sleepy Hollow Adventure are doing so at their own risk. 

About the event:

This is an immersive theatre performance that involves visits into multiple cabins and a spooky trail through the mountainside. It designed to be fun, mysterious, and at times, scary. The performance repeats throughout the evening from 7:00pm - 10:30pm. You may arrive anytime for admission into the event.

 

I can't find my ticket - how do I access my ticket?

Our ticketing company emails a ticket to the email address you enter during the transaction process. Make sure you spell your email correctly while purchasing! Lots of people that experience ticketing issues made spelling mistakes at checkout. If you can't find your ticket, and a charge has been made to your account, contact us here and we'll gladly assist you.

Does the VIP ticket get you immediate access into the event?

The VIP Experience Tickets gets you to the front of the line. We pull guests from the VIP line first, before filling in General Admission guests.

A date I wish to attend is "Sold Out" - can I still get a ticket?

Unfortunately, our "Sold Out" dates are at maximum capacity. 

 

Safety policies:

  • All bags, purses, backpacks, waist packs, etc. are subject to inspection prior to entering.​

  • Sharp objects (including pocket knives and metal chains), firearms, or other items that could be considered a weapon are strictly prohibited and should be left at home or secured in your vehicle.  

  • Please do not bring outside food and beverages.

  • Smoking and alcohol are not permitted on event property.

We use a variety of methods in securing our event properties including uniformed and plain clothes officers, and video surveillance monitoring. Horn in the West and Hickory Ridge History Museum do not tolerate guests who fight and/or harass other guests while on our property. People who engage this behavior are subject to being ejected and potentially banned from the park, and may be subject to arrest by local police. 

Where does this event take place?

The event takes place at Horn in the West Outdoor Drama in Boone, NC on the property of Hickory Ridge History Museum.

Is the event handicap accessible?

Due to rough terrain on the trail, and steps into and out of the historic cabins, this event is unfortunately not handicap accessible.

Will any characters touch me?

No, all of our characters have designated performance zones and will never make uninvited contact with you.

Is the event scary?

While this is not a haunted house or haunted trail, we’ve designed this event to bring spooky, frightening fun to the High Country. Some moments of the experience feature loud sounds, complete darkness, and intense performances by actors. We do not recommend this event for young children.

Can I wear a costume?

Yes! You can absolutely wear a Halloween costume. Costume masks that cover the entire face are not permitted for guest safety.

Is the event dog-friendly?

No, dogs are not allowed to attend this event.

How long is the event?

You may arrive anytime between 7:00pm and 10:30pm for admission into the event. It takes most guests 30 minutes to enjoy the actual production, but there are lots of fun performances and characters to engage with while waiting for your group to enter. The admissions line closes at 10:30pm.

Can I take pictures? 
Absolutely! We do ask that you refrain from using flash photography. It ruins your picture, and the experience of other guests.

 

Am I able to leave the event and re-enter?

Your ticket only covers one entry into our event. If you wish to re-enter, you’ll need to purchase a new ticket.

What about the wait time to enter the event and its attractions?

Lines for the event on weekends will be long. Please plan accordingly. We appreciate your patience.

 

What happens if it rains?

The Sleepy Hollow Adventure is open rain or shine. There will be no refunds.  

 

Are there refunds or exchanges?

All sales are final. There are no refunds.
